I dont give a shit bout the hobbit, didn't like LOTR,so yeah. Anyways,if u want bad versions let him direct. Let me tell ya,Cuaron would do them a million times better. Whose got the most experience eh?!?
o.O I don't know....I was disappointed when Del Toro said he was leaving the Hobbit, and wish Jackson would just do it. I like what Yates has done with the Potter films.....but something about him taking on 'The Hobbit' doesn't feel right to me.
Yates directing the Hobbit will be interesting. I can't see the rumour becoming true though. After all the work he's done for 4 Harry Potter films, you'd think he'd want a little rest.
Honestly I don't get the hype about Del Toro. He's ok I guess. I loved Pan's labyrinth but I hate the Hell Boy movies. I'd take Yates over Del Toro but I'd take Cuaron over both of them. Why doesn't Peter Jackson just do it since he has experience with that franchise and knows the material the best? (BTW - LOTR are the only Peter Jackson movies I like . . . Dead Alive, King Kong, The Lovely Bones, ect., didn't like any of them).
Some complain because of the sudden and very large change in POA from the previous two, COS and PS/SS. The entire set up was changed with new grounds and a slightly different Hogwarts with the added Clock Tower and Courtyards. Then you have the book purists who moan and groan of scenes getting cut. The film also had a very different feel to it. Thank god we were lucky enough to have Cuaron direct a Potter movie. A magnificent director.
The hogwarts change was good! If it wasn't for him we'd still have the same hogwarts and have stupid end credits(mauraders map credits was brilliant), seriously I wish he had made them all, from part 1.....
Cuaron would work for The Hobbit. He did great things for the Potter series, and I think POA stands out in the series as the most stylish. He'd be good for something dark but epic like the Hobbit.
