Hey guys! Well 2012 has come and gone so I have decided to make an official 2013 thread now. :) I will do things a bit differently this year, with this border being movies I have viewed at the Cinema and the second border with new movies I see at home. MONSTERS INC. (Family,Comedy,Animation)

A fun and exciting movie filled with humor and alot of heart. It is definitely one of the better Pixar movies despite them all being very fun, there is not really anything bad about this movie- it is for everyone from age 3-100. The characters are fun, the plot is very imaginative and the animation is wonderful.

I'm sure there's an age 2 or 101 year old person out there who enjoyed it =))

But, are you sure a 2 or 101 year old would go into a film like this thinking? A 2 year old is probably only there because his/her mum has opted to annoy the hell out of unsuspecting viewers. An 101 year old would have to get lost, in order for him/her to end up in a cinema screening of Monsters, Inc. :P

    No Strings Attached (Romance,Comedy)

Very entertaining and with good acting, there are things the movie could do without but overall it was quite nice and you really felt for some of the characters. It also has some hilarious moments and if youre into raunchy rom-coms, Im pretty sure this would be a nice addition to your collection even though the story is pretty much rehashed with fresh substance at times. You know what youre going into with this one :)

    Superstar (Comedy)

Some funny moments but many unlikeable/unrelatable characters with a cheesy plot. Will Ferrell as god cracked me up everytime and some make out scenes but thats about it. Also if you get offended easily then this might not be for you, I didnt get offended but I just didnt enjoy it that much.

Its not really famous, the comedy isnt really good theres a couple gags that really make you laugh though, the story takes place at a catholic school and its about a girl wanting to be kissed. Like I said up there Will Ferrell as Jesus is like the only reason to see this lmao!

    Django Unchained (Drama, Action, Western)

It does entertain you, with the help of Leonardio Dicarpio and Christoph Waltz, which are the true shining stars of the movie. Every time these two were on screen it was a joy seeing them that one forgets about Django. Esepcially Leo, I just loved his character. The blood is over the top, not as gory as some say, but the comedy is great and also the acting. Some cool musical numbers, the movie didnt really feel long but things happen for no apparent reason and it couldve done without a couple scenes, but overall I did enjoy this one!

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (Comedy,Romance,Music)

I love Micheal Cera so I was expecting to enjoy this movie, but alas it is not very enjoyable. The whole movie is basically one night which makes it drag even at 90 minutes. The two main characters are likeable and their chemistry is ok just not good. In the end you dont really care about them much. There were some funny moments but I dont think this is a very rewatchable movie and it is quite forgettable.

Did you really just post a gif with blatant nudity on a message board without any sort of NSFW warning?

    Swordfish (Action,Thriller,Crime)

A well thought out movie with good action and great acting, that keeps you in your seat throughout the movie. The plot is all over the place and the only developed characters are the main characters so you dont really feel much when the others come and go and you ask yourselves WTF they re doing in the movie. But overall it was quite enjoyable with a cool story and ending.

    Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (Action,Comedy,Mystery)

Great acting and very funny, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang succeeds in being hilarious but after a while you start focusing more on the funny aspects than the mystery of the movie and the plot as a whole. Robert Downey does an excellent job in making you laugh as does Val Kilmer. This is one to pop in when you want to laugh but not really focus on the plot of the movie since that is the weakest part, but overall it was pretty good.

    Terminator 2: Judgement Day (Action,Sci-Fi,Thriller)

Believe it or not this is the first time I see this one. I still can not believe Ive lived this long and not see this, Terminator 2 is everything you would want in a sci-fi movie with nonstop action and a great story. James Cameron stepped up his game, and the visual effects were entertaining to see. You are in for a ride with this one and surprisingly you dont even need to see the first to enjoy it. If I had seen this in theaters you wouldnt hear the end of it :P Everyone needs to see this hell of a movie.

    Zero Dark Thirty (Action,Drama,Thriller)

Very surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie, it is very very well made and it brings you inside the movie, you feel what they feel and at one point a simple speech can give you chills. Well executed, great GREAT
acting, (Jessica Chastain really makes your jaw drop), I believe that even though the movie does feel a bit long, it makes you anxious at the upcoming events. Again, you feel like youre part of the manhunt and in the end the movie feels realistically gritty.

    Jennifer's Body (Comdey,Horror)

I knew Megan Fox was beautiful but after seeing this...I know she is VERY beautiful. Ok ok now to the movie lol, I didnt expect as much gore as there was in the film and certainly didnt expect it to be hilarious. there was a couple of scenes that were extremely funny and the premise of it all is silly, but it entertains you to an extent. the end scene was really good I did like the ending but there were some very cheesy scenes and I think that is what they were going for.

    A Haunted House (Comedy,Horror)

There was some good laughs but there are things they go overboard with and it ends being more awkward than funny. It feels like they tried too hard and in the end you realize there was no point in going into the movie than to laugh for a bit and thats that. Atleast the Scary Movies made goofs of a bunch of movies and was creative but Haunted House feels kind of forced.

    Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D (Horror)

So I have never seen any of the previous Texas chainsaw movies, well not completely, so I didn't know what to expect. The characters are not good, I mean you don't bond with anyone and you really don't care who lives and dies. The movie starts off really slow but it finds some feet around the middle and the killings are predictable but I love Jedidiah, how he isnt fully evil and kind of human. It did its job in entertaining me for awhile but a lot of it was predictable. It left me with a lot of questions though. Oh and the 3D was pretty damn good there were parts I could've sworn the chainsaw comes out to me but it wouldn't do much use in 2D I'm afraid.

    Gangster Squad (Action,Crime,Drama,Thriller)

The characters in Gangster Squad are just pure fun and they grab you and throw you inside the movie so many times. Sean Penn plays an awesome villain and you have a connection with the members of the squad. I loved the feeling you get when watching this but there were some things that did feel a bit off like certain things that happen that dont make sense and is rather illogical. Still, if you dont think too much about it, Gangster Squad succeeds in being a fun gangster flick :)

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (Drama) WINNER OF THE 1975 OSCARS

Every person in this movie does a superb job. You truly believe that everyone has some mental problem and the story is quite good. You feel for these characters and you actually feel like youre in the institution with them, which is something powerful. The movie does get a bit slow but it is understandable it is also quite depressing to see.

    Horrible Bosses (Comedy)

I wasn't expecting to have a blast with this movie. The characters are hilarious and you can relate to some things their boss' actually do. You feel for them and youre on board with their mission. Seriously though them taking so much shit is just hilarious. A very good comedy with fresh ideas.

    Pitch Perfect (Comedy,Musical,Romance)

Very dissapointed with this one, after hearing so much praise for it, I could not find myself enjoying anything from this movie apart from Fat Amy. This is just a very over the top college prep movie with songs and the whole point of it is just silly, I kept asking myself why am I watching this? Iam just happy I didnt see it at the theater.
