    Fantastic. My skin just about crawled right off. That gets right to the heart of some of our worst fears. And the found-footage angle looks just awesome, really working to the technique's strengths: immediate, raw, real. God, I don't know if I'm gonna be able to handle that in cinemas. :)

    I don't think it's a trend anymore; found footage movies have been around too long. It's just a technique. If it's done well, I find there are fewer more immersive experiences. I think, for horror especially, found footage movies can be magnificently effective. Also they seem to allow a certain amount of leeway within your typical three-act structure, so it's possible to be really unexpected with these films. But certainly, there are more bad ones than good. Still a worthwhile technique, though, I reckon.
