I wanted a discussion where the brightest of our forums Democrats and Republicans could explain why you believe the way you do. Inherently there is one way that is the best way to operate our country. Explain what democrats really are, what they believe, and what they are currently doing to fix our problems.

haha no but I am independent. I do not support one party over another. On Social issues I swing democrat. On Financial issues I swing Republican. People that stick to one party are not open minded enough in my opinion and are way too stubborn to get over themselves and their party...like our current congress in session. whomp whomp whomp.
Basically: I'm pro-choice, decrease military spending, FUCK THE BORDER WALL, THAT WOULD COST SO MUCH FUCKING MONEY, keep separation of church and state, for gay marriage, increase the taxes on the rich, etc.
The only one of these that would really be useful to the economy NOW is the lowering of military spending and NOT building the wall, but I'll say why I believe each.
Pro-Choice: I used to be on the fence about this, but really, a person should have the right to their own body. Would I try and convince my sex partner to keep the child? Yes I would. But what I would do shouldn't be the law. The law should be that if someone wants an abortion, they should be able to get one.
Decrease Military Spending: There is so much spent on war it's insane, it really is. We finally pulling out of Iraq, who knows when for Afghan though. There's not any MAJOR wars being fought, yes War on Terror is big but not WW2 or Vietnam big right this second. The USA proved in WW1 that we can get a giant ass army together in a very short amount of time. We don't need all this spending.
This is why right now I would only support Ron Paul or Barack Obama. All the other Republican candidates would seek to go to war with Iran. Santorum is honestly a fucking dumbass who lives in his fantasy world that terrorists attack us because we are free and have liberty. Grow up you rich fuck and realize the USA have bombed and used the middle east, so no, that's not why. Does that justify why they are terrorists? No. But honestly, a monkey could make children believe the USA are evil from all the way saying they bomb without helping back. It's not difficult to do this when they are raised from birth under jihadism. It's terrible, but it's true. Iran = Iraq of 2010's. We can't fucking afford it nor should we take action until they pose an immediate threat and DO threaten us or actually attack.
Border Wall - Seriously, this would cost fortunes. We don't have fortunes. What jobs are illegals taking from you? Barely anything, and if they do take a job, WHAT THE FUCK IS IT? MOWING A LAWN, TAXI DRIVING, WHO KNOWS WHAT? They're taking possibly minimum wage jobs at best. Yes we need to control, but not with a fucking wall.
Separation of Church and State: Look at Iran. Theocracy. Point made.
Gay Marriage: Argument for exists in the Bible. See Separation of Church and State.
Increases Taxes on the Rich: In the past few decades, the space between middle class and upper class as grown bigger and bigger to the point where middle class are almost poor and the upper class have diamond grills for their dogs. It's pathetic now. Increase those fucking taxes and those who can afford more. Oh no, instead of 200 million a year you'll only make 198 million. Get over it.
So yeah, I'm a democrat by ideologies. I'm definitely not a liberal though, because there are a few things I do agree republican side.
It's fucking dumb. The entire USA Government is dumb. Electoral college is shit, congress can't do anything, courts are corrupt, executive just want to pass what will help their party.
I'm a socialist but will vote for someone in the democratic party as long as they aren't dumbasses. That narrows it down a LOT. I'll be voting for Bernie Sanders because Obama is a cunt, a massive one, and I cannot with good conscience vote for him again. I am culpable for all of his bullshit.
My beliefs, summarized: a country should strive for progression; adapt to changing conditions in society; should care for all of its citizens; provide adequate healthcare for all of its citizens; attempt income equality or in the very least tax the obscenely rich who got the money after fucking people over (no one became rich on their own). I'm also pro-choice and anti-death penalty (except in extreme cases like those who caused the financial problems in 2008). I support birth control, not only in regards to contraceptives and condoms, but also mandatory child limits.

As for me, I'd say I'm fairly Conservative. I'm a Christian, and I grew up in Alabama. Guess you could say that's a big reason why I believe the way I do.
As for the whole Gay issue, I ain't got an opinion on it.
However, if someone tries take away my guns, we're going to have problems. It's my right as an American Citizen to keep and own one.
I want our president to fight to get us out of war and to get people to spend money again. I also want a technology boost. We need more companies in America that can only produce their specific item. For example if an American company is producing an advanced product that no other cheaper country has the intel to make, then you keep those jobs here and stay ahead of the curve.

As for the three President's I remember in my lifetime; Clinton, Bush and Obama. All three had some high moments in their careers but I don't think any of them will go down in the history books for being one of the best Presidents, However Bush will end up on the worst list for letting our economy get as bad as it did and for Iraq. Clinton had the infamous NAFTA which has destroyed our jobs market. Obama well...idk he hasn't done anything too bad yet except for Obamacare. Only time will tell.
And no, I ain't ever met him. Hopefully, I never will.
