Top 5 QTE Story Games:
1. The Walking Dead S1&2
- The story was phenomenal. The haunting yet emotional score elevated this narrative to such heights that I actually cried during a certain moment in Season 2. (Those who played will know
)
2. Heavy Rain
- Despite criticism from gamers, this game manages to tell a wide arching mystery narrative with a truly depressing tone. The score is excellent, particularly during the Madison Paige sequences.
3. Until Dawn
- Could easily be flipped with Heavy Rain, though I felt this story could have been longer. The choices legitimately matter and the characters are fun and well-written. Highest replay value of the bunch.
4. The Wolf Among Us
- Lots of twists and turns, though light on the hard choices. Awesome story as well.
5. Beyond Two Souls
- Bit of a miss at times, though powerful in other areas. This game has its problems, but the story was still fun to play through. It's not in the same league as Heavy Rain.
*I haven't played Life is Strange yet

Re: Movie Trailers AND Movie News discussion
Nice! im getting more interested for the movie now. Im ready to give it a chance. There was a Fantastic Four screening last night in Atlanta. It should be ok as long as I don't get specific. It was miles better than the previous 2 and also better than Ant-Man and Ultron. Everyone has a believable scientific explanation for their powers.
In the end it, covered beneath all the played out superhero save the world *beep* is a story about friendship (Reed and Ben)and family (Susan and Johnny) and how the two are sometimes inseparable. Trank wasn't kidding when he said it was inspired by The Fly, because the best part of the film is the 2nd act where their lives are changed and because of that the 4 have to learn stick together and developed a bond (Reed/Ben didn't like Susan/Johnny in the 1st act). The 1st act was great too! Introducing each members giving us their childhood background story which were sweet and touching.
Aaaaaand the 3rd act reverted to an interdimensional slugfest between the F4 and Dr. Doom. Which is something u've seen in countless other superhero movies
The VFX is unpolished. Looks outdated.
The dialogue ranges from soul piercing to laugh out loud bad.
The performances were great. Toby Kebell killed it.
The cinematography and a cool blue color grading fits the film.
The film's best parts are not the action scenes but the emotional ones.

Re: Movie Trailers AND Movie News discussion
The problem is not that they cut stuff from the books, but the first film, looking at the first teaser, seemed to be faithful to the books, but it's not the same movie we got. Either because Columbus decided to rewrite parts of the film or Fox forced him to make the story more generic, and less unique like in the book. And what you say about the greek mythology is what was missing on the first film, having historic figures clashing with modern times and technology. Camp Half-Blood seemed like a military center from medieval times.
They fixed that with the second film, which it actually reflected the world of Riordan's books, but having Kronos as the main villain (and represented as a generic satan-like figure) when he wasn't supposed to be until the fourth book seemed like they thought making the film faithful to the book wouldn't be sucessful. About things from the books being too expensive to show, The Maze Runner had a 30 million budget, and looked like a 100 million dollar movie. Some CGI from SOM looked fake (and they were made by the same studio who did Life Of Pi() and they had a 90 million dolar budget.
Even if they did certain things right, Riordan is like the fans of the books, a pompous purist, and he bashed the first movie and said he wouldn't be watching the rest if they we're made.
The change of ages wasn't a problem because Columbus did it to avoid comparisions with Harry Potter.

Re: Official Harry Potter Merchandise News Thread
Off topic post, and I doubt it will ever come to be. I dont have the time or resources for it. Maybe if I had the chance to do a kickstarter then I could actually interview the people I'd like to. Then there are licensing fees with Warner Brothers to use certain images and motifs. Its more trouble than it's worth.Hot Topic will have an exclusive Quidditch Harry figureRyguy,
I know you’re really busy with your life, and I respect and encourage your endeavors, but the thing is, your project may be all that we have to see this extensive unreleased footage. It’s looking very doubtful that Warner will ever release any of it. With the (mainstream) movies being finished, the release of new footage gives us something to look forward to with them. To be quite honest, many others and I I know and many online have been very disappointed with the later David Yates films, and I feel that potentially the unreleased footage may help with the problems I have with his films. If you could ever find any free time to work on it, or maybe give us access to the files for us to look at, sans all of the time and work on the documentary, then it would be very much appreciated from other fans’ greatest gratitude, as well as my own.
