Re: Official Harry Potter Merchandise News Thread
I found a seller at Amazon that has the Quidditch Harry for $31 including free shipping. Being of little patience with Hot Topic, I ordered one, it should be here between the 21st and the 27th.
Update~Looks like the seller I had originally listed has sold out so the link takes you to a different one
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012TTEPUK?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
There's a quick review on YouTube...he looks so awesome

Re: Movie Trailers AND Movie News discussion
The movie was good, but you can tell that Fox butchered it, and refilmed it.

Re: Movie Trailers AND Movie News discussion
Even if you don't care much for #FantasticFour, Bryan singer or any other director could make the sequel even better and give us a really gr8 movie! Its worth supporting the movie now just for that!

Re: Official Fantastic Beasts Thread - TEASER TRAILER RELEASED
lol thank you. and true i love the (nowadays rare for both of us lolol) occasions when you post because its always good stuff! it's nice someone here understands what im talking about..I sound like a racist against... who exactly? White people? NYC during the '20s was literally a hub of racial diversity (and remains to this day, though moreso) so not sure what you're talking about...ever heard of Ellis Island?Agree with this 150%. I am really hoping that there is some form of Diversity in these films. Yony I dont want to be that guy but reverse racism doesn't exist in sociological terms. I hope these movies have some strong female characters or something! The world in the 30s especially New York wasnt some white washed wasteland, it was a melting pot of all cultures and backgrounds. Ive got my fingers crossed for this. Also the candidates for Newt's rival look so goofy. Im not sure if its a main villain role or not it is too early to tell but hopefully the villain isn't underwhelming.
No, I do not expect him to be blue, because blue people don't exist. Nonwhite people do however, so I'm not sure what your angle was there. Oh, yes I do it was a cheap, overused jab.
"There was no mention of Newt's looks in the books" ...so apparently that makes him white automatically. I'm not just talking about him either, there are 3 supporting cast members with 3 actors announced as being considered are white.
"This movie should have some people who are not white too in the main cast" "racist!" lmao
Sometimes I wonder if @TheDoctor and I were separated at birth due to our views and thoughts on things haha

8 Years and Many Tears ago...
J.K. Rowling has helped me grow alongside my family, and she deserves all of my respect and love. Even though I don't know her personally, I love her (to quote Valerie from V for Vendetta). I have my career choices and a third of my character to thank her for.
When I'm asked what makes me feel special or lucky I would say this: I was a part of the Harry Potter generation. I grew up alongside Harry and his world, both of which consumed my life. I have feelings for these books that cannot be replicated. My memories are so strong that I can't even look at the covers without crying.
8 years ago I stood in line at Bookland wearing a 'I Trust Snape' shirt. I started the book at 1AM and finished at 11:25AM that morning. Praise God, and thank you Jo. I wish I had the words of a poet here... I can't romanticize something this real however.
My life's goal, my main purpose... Is to take this into the future. Building the future and keeping the past alive are one in the same. I hope we all get that 'feeling' again with Fantastic Beasts and whatever comes after.
I love every one of you. I'm thankful that great times still lie ahead.

Re: Official Harry Potter Merchandise News Thread
I got my Harry and the sword Funko a couple of days ago, he's soooo cute! I've been wearing out the Hot Topic website checking for the Quidditch Harry, the girl at the store said they'd be online before they hit the stores, hope they hurry up - lol.
I just got back from our local Albertson's and found a Movie Magic magazine, it's the Anniversary Collector's edition for 25 years of HP. It has a small section on the upcoming Fantastic Beasts movie. The magazine goes back over all the movies and covers some of what everyone is doing now.
